QX2QXO Introduction
The transfer utility is broken down into sections so that you can choose which items you would like transfered to QXpress Online. This tutorial describes what is transfered in each section. When it is necessary to create tables or fields in QXpress Online, the prefix QXD (QXpress Desktop) is used. For example, a new table might be called QXDNewTable. This will differentiate the fields/tables that came with QXpress Online versus the ones that were imported. These can be safely deleted if you do not use a particular field.
Depending on the size of your QXpress database and the speed of your internet connections, transferring may take several hours, so plan accordingly. We recommend turning off automatic windows updates while the transfer program is running (so your computer doesn't restart in the middle of the night if you let the program run over night).
